Configuring Email Accounts
|
NOTE: Because of continuous changes being made by email program providers we can only offer the following information as suggestions. If they do not work you may contact the Support Center and we should be able to assist you.
Select your existing Email Program (if yours is not listed you must contact your email software provider directly)
Outlook
Express (or just Outlook)
Netscape
Outlook Express (Note: Some of the following labels may be different for various versions.) 1. Choose Tools, then Accounts 2. Click the Mail tab, click the Add button, then choose Mail 3. Type in the name you want other people to see in the FROM field when you send them email, then click the Next button
4. Type in the email address you want to appear to other people when you send them mail, then click the Next button
5a. Type mail.webhost.com for the incoming mail
server (change webhost to our hosting site)
6. Type in your account name and password. The account name is your domain name plus the alias separated by the = sign
Using Full System to send mail out1. You can use our mail server for outgoing mail. To do this you will use mail.webhost.com (change webhost to our hosting site) for both incoming and outgoing on the servers tab.
2. When you have finished, you will need to highlight the
account.

Netscape All examples will use the fictitious person John Smith, having the fictitious john@fox.com POP3 account. Substitute your own information in place of this. 1. Select the Edit menu and choose Preferences bottom 2. Double-click Mail & Newsgroups and choose Identity 3. Fill in the Your name: box with your name, and fill in the Email address: box with the email address you set up in your Control Panel. The Signature File is optional.
4. Choose Mail Servers, and fill in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: box with the SMTP server provided by your dialup provider. We do not provide a relaying SMTP server in order to reduce Spam and Junk-Mail. Your dialup provider should have an SMTP server for your use.
5. Click the Add button. Substitute your own information in place of fox.com=john.

3. Click Personal Info and enter your own information.
4. Click Hosts and enter your own information.
Note that Eudora combines the User and server Information.
